After completing his MBBS in India, he undertook comprehensive ophthalmic training across leading UK centres in Leicester, Liverpool, and Birmingham. He was awarded MRCOphth and FRCOphth by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and went on to complete two advanced corneal fellowships in Birmingham and Cambridge.
His commitment to precision did not stop there.

  • A certificate in laser refractive surgery from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists

Mr Mrinal Rana regularly volunteers his expertise to deliver free eye care in underserved communities. Through surgical missions in Cambodia with the Khmer Sight Foundation, he has provided cataract and pterygium surgery to restore sight.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he also volunteered on the NHS front line to support critical care.
